Peter Fonda – Politics is Not an Excuse

When you become as unhinged as Peter Fonda there is something far more wrong with you than politics.

In now deleted Tweets, Fonda called for 12-year-old Barron Trump, our president’s son,  to be caged with pedophiles, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders children to be removed from her, and Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Neilson, to be stripped naked, put in a cage, and tortured while being filmed “for posterity.”  This man should immediately be put on every government watch list and banned forever from the entertainment industry.

What prompted his meltdown?  He demands better treatment of illegal immigrant children.  Oh, okay, let’s attack women and children as a means to show how much we care about women and children.  In what hemisphere is this okay?

According to him, we should brutalize women and children based on politics.  That means that all of you in the #Metoo movement according to Fonda if you disagree with him you should be stripped, raped, tortured and caged; and your children too.  You going to stand for that?  Are you going to let this man undo all the progress you’ve made, the changes you’ve implemented, and all the respect you’ve earned?

Who will step up and say this is far from okay?  Who will ban him from the stage, Screen Actors Guild, or the Motion Picture Association of America?  Will directors Patricia Riggen, Daniel Sackheim, Carlton Cuse, and Morten Tyldum replace him in Jack Ryan as was done to Kevin Spacey?  Will writer Tom Clancy make a teachable moment by ending Jack Ryan as was done to Roseanne Barr?

This is by no means a defense of Spacey, Barr, or any of the others.  This is calling a spade a spade.  It’s about abuse and torture of women and children being more important than politics, entertainment, or childish outbursts.

Fonda is a despicable human being.  It doesn’t matter he deleted the Tweets.  It matters that he not only had the thoughts but deemed them acceptable enough to put on Twitter.  Which means his warped mind believed the majority of people would acquiesce.  It is not only repulsive it’s horrifying.  If he is willing to publicize his disgusting intentions at a time when celebrities are being fired, banned, and sued for mistreatment of women we have no reason to believe he will not act on his sick impulses.

There is a line in humanity that is not erased by politics, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or race.  It’s not a fluid line.  It doesn’t move.  There is unequivocally no reason to EVER say the vile things he did.  The question is, America, what will you do about it?

Channing Dungey’s Lost Teachable Moment

I will not defend Roseanne Barr’s comments. Despite liberals defending Michell Wolf’s heinous attack on Sarah Sanders, in Sarah’s presence, comedy has a line. Barr has acknowledged she was wrong and apologized. But ABC executive illusionist in charge, Channing Dungey claimed a teachable moment. Hmm.

teachable-moment1

Leveling the harshest punishment and allowing no opportunity to learn from mistakes is a teachable moment? If we heed that example what does it look like in the parenting realm? On our jobs? In our relationships? In schools? Even criminals have a three strikes rule.

Instead of punishing Barr by docking her pay, taking her off the show for a few episodes, reducing the number of episodes or a slew of other things, Dungey went for the jugular. With complete disregard for other cast members, who share her liberal views, she canceled the show. That is not a teachable moment. It’s opportunity. Standing on the backs of fellow liberal cast members she elevated herself. Who knew her name prior to this?

ABC canceled Last Man Standing even though it was their highest rated show. Why? Tim Allen refused to beat the worn-out drum of ABC’s liberal ideology. A fierce backlash resulted. How could ABC keep Last Man Standing off the air while pretending politics played no part? Enter Roseanne. She gave them two things; record-breaking ratings and a middle ground alternative between right or left. That was not acceptable. People must not have facts and thinking space. Otherwise, they might see the cult-like mindset ABC has adopted. And ABC wonders why they are the bottom feeders of the networks.

hypocrisy

If liberals would set the Kool-Aid down and swipe the vengeance from their eyes they’d acknowledge that Barr gave an equal nod to both conservatives and liberals. Where else will you find a show reaching staggering numbers of people with a gender fluid kid supported by a Trump loving grandmother? The show had it all; a biracial child with military parents, sisters representing opposite political views with love, support for the “my body my choice” thinkers, accepting the Muslim next door, and taking on the opioid crisis. These are issues liberals claim to care about. So, why are they not supporting it? Because it only matters to them when it comes from someone on “their side.” It’s less about the cause and more about the attention. Which leads us here.

Dungey held a teachable moment in her hands and she squeezed the life out of it. This is not uncharted waters. Awards programs focused more on vicious attacks on Trump than they did winners. The Will and Grace reboot presented as fantastic for its nonstop hate spewing against Trump, Republicans, Christians, and anyone who dare not agree. Then Roseanne returned and blew Will and Grace out of the water. That explains hate stewardess Debra Messing’s tweet about her tears. And don’t even get me started on Michelle Wolfe and Samantha Bee.

Like a lion lurking unseen Dungy was waiting to take Rosanne out for the same reason, she took out Last Man Standing. It offered a different view. The only way to ensure the mindless allegiance of people is to remove all alternative views.
Dungy thinks she has the support of the majority. She thinks these decisions will bring her praise and notoriety as a champion of the people. But Channing Dungey here’s your teachable moment. In the words of Stevie Nicks, “lose yourself in the stillness of remembrance.” Recall your humiliating loss. The same silent people who shocked you then are still here. And you liberals never see it coming.

What Are Meryl Streep Bullying Lessons

Mainstream and social media are abuzz about Meryl Streep’s speech at the Golden Globes. And why should they not be after Streep declared an alliance between celebrities and the media, promising they will help each other?  Yet, do you not think that anyone, famous or no, who wants to create an intimate bond with the media seeks to disarm freedom of the press?  The very point of having a free press is that they are beholden to no one. However, Streep made clear that is not her desire. She seeks an international news outlet willing to promote the Hollywood agenda. The very thing that is least like the majority of Americans.

741c8d12-b998-4f79-8c0c-550406781435Streep essentially used her time at the podium to hold the American people hostage. Rather than do what she is paid millions of dollars to do, entertain us, she opted to shame us instead. With no regard to her fans who may have voted for Donald Trump, she attacked him. So, I ask you, standing before your multiple bosses, who control your monetary value, are you going to take the opportunity to insult some of them? No! That’s crazy. So, why did Meryl Streep do it? Was she within her celebrity rights to do so or was she being the very bully she claimed to be against? That’s the question we’ll answer here.

That is a typical bullying tactic. Get people where they expect one thing then give them another. Bullying takes many forms. Yet, the fundamental tactics remain the same. Do bullies ever attack alone or do they wait for an audience? Do they have the capability to look at their side objectively or just assume everyone who disagrees with them is wrong?

When someone goes to excessive lengths to make sure her lone opinion is perceived as all-consuming truth you must ask yourself why. What is the motive? What in this person’s history makes her a bullying expert? Does she have a reputation for working with bullying organizations? Has she used her lucrative career to shine a light on bullying? And if the answer to these questions is no, then you must ask is she being self-serving now?

Streep is close friends with Hillary Clinton. Clinton lost the election to Donald Trump. Streep calls our President-elect a bully. Not even after 9/11 did we see the media and celebrities commenting so viciously or proclaiming such devastation. The loss of thousands of lives apparently pales in significance to their candidate losing.

In a desperate attempt to recover, celebrities began touting themselves as victims. They call our future president and anyone who voted for him a bully. But how do we define a bully? Is it not an angry, quarrelsome person who habitually antagonizes another? Or is it someone who goes to excessive lengths to publicly mock the opinions of those who differ from them? Isn’t is someone who attacks another because they have the audacity to be different than them?

History shows us that a bully who finds herself on the losing end turns the tables and claims victim status in a desperate attempt for a positive outcome. Remember the movie Mean Girls? Rachel McAdams character is clearly the bully throughout the movie. But when she finds her popularity is lost and those she once controlled are now thinking for themselves, she turns the tables. The bully takes on the role of victim in order to get what she wants. It’s a common bullying ploy.

Proclaiming to be victimized is nothing new. What we have to do is sort true bullying from self-serving propaganda of those who can’t stand to lose. In this case, we’re looking at Meryl Streep because she took the side of a bullying advocate with no history to support it. Rather than speak out for those bullied she gave a standing ovation to child molester meryl-streepRoman Polaski. Has she ever volunteered time or money to any bullying cause? In all her words did she bother to mention the biggest bullying headline in recent history? No, she did not.

Mere days, before Streep forced her “bullying” stance upon unsuspecting Americans a mentally disabled man was kidnapped, tortured and bullied in Chicago. Why would any self-respecting bullying advocate ignore such a splendid time to draw attention to this? Is it because it happened in Chicago, the home of another friend, Barrack Obama?

There is no doubt that Meryl Streep is disappointed and heartbroken for her dear friend Hillary Clinton. Who could blame her? But an attempt to claim victim mentality, shame a nation of voters and pretend to advocate bullying as a ruse to turn America against an incoming president is wrong.

Streep employed all the tactics of a well-seasoned bully. She made sure her unsubstantiated remarks were put before her wildly supportive clique. She used her position to shame what she views as weaker people who voted for Trump. She claimed victim mentality from her mansion in Hollywood while ignoring the true bullying victim in Chicago. And all of this she did to present herself as a higher authority than the average voter, to benefit her friend, and to appear as the voice of reason so all would applaud her. Meryl Streep doesn’t care about bullying or the average American. She is simply a mean girl trying to turn the tables.

The Giant Heart of America is Awake & Roaring

The ridiculous behavior of people after the election is EXACTLY the reason Donald Trump won. The real Americans are sick to death of your endless belly-aching and temper tantrums when you don’t get your way. We’ve had enough of your entitlement attitude that everything in life should be free and handed to you without you lifting a finger to improve your country, your community or even yourself. Our ears have gone numb from hearing about your oh, so offense mechanism and victim mentality. You want to place blame on your precious Hillary not getting into office? Blame yourselves. Everything you are doing now only confirms that Trump was the right choice.

A good portion of the blame rests on celebrities who for reasons that baffle me, have reached the erroneous conclusion that they have the right to tell us how to vote. They stand before us like gods of knowledge who don’t know the first thing about the backbone of this country. They’re not upset because Trump won. They’re upset because they lost. Now, they must face the reality that they are not as powerful as they thought they were.

They were laboring under the misconception that if they threatened to leave the country that we would be so desperate to keep them we’d do exactly as they bid us to. Surprise! We truly do see you only for entertainment value. What’s not a surprise? Not one of them is leaving the country.

chelsea-handler-president-trump-reaction-netflix-300x200Chelsea Handler made a complete fool out of herself with her crybaby stunt about staying only in the country because we need “her voice.” Uh…. we didn’t listen to you before what makes you think we care now? A trained monkey could perform as well as you so, adios.

Then there’s Katy Perry who should be locked up for trying to incite a riot. She instructed her fans to “fight” and warned of a coming “revolution.” Well, that’s one thing I’ll agree with her on. The revolution is coming, Katy. It’s just not the mind-numbingly stupid one you have playing in your head.

The election map gives a vivid picture of what is taking place in our country. The middle of the map is covered in red and the bookend states are blue. The bookend states, California and New York, epitomize everything that is wrong with America. They have spent years amassing their wealth by stepping on the backs of middle America. They have shoved their personal agendas down our throats disregarding the fact we were choking on them. They mocked and ignored us. They wrote us off of as inconsequential. All to the tune of gaining more money, power and fame for themselves.

While they paid to play and partied over their certain win, the heart of the country seethed. While the most loud-mouthed in the country built Hillary up and enshrined her, the heartland waited. We knew our day was coming. Unlike Hillary’s motor-mouths the heart of America didn’t waste time arguing with them. What would be the point in that? We knew exactly how to strike back – at the polls. And on Tuesday night the sleeping giant awoke and took back what had been stolen – the heart of America.

So, if it makes the spoiled college brats feel better to throw a temper tantrum in the streets, go ahead. If all of election-protests-californiaHollywood has to cry a whole new ocean of tears, have at it. It’s not going to change a thing. Your day is gone. It’s our turn to see what happens when the president can’t be bought. It’s going to be a long eight years for you. See, that’s the thing about sleeping giants – you never see them coming. And once you’ve rattled the cage enough to wake them you’re hard pressed to put them back to sleep.

Open Letter To 50 Cent

Today I saw a video of you shamelessly mocking a kid on the autism spectrum.  I am the mother of two special needs sons one of which who is on the spectrum. I am also the founder of P3 an online support group for parents with special needs kids. I say this to let you know I am well-versed in dealing with people such as yourself.

It appears you singled out an average working man to mock for your own narcissistic reasons. Who knew that the average working person who spends money on your albums was such a scourge to you. Your defense in such deplorable behavior is that you found his behavior odd and thereby deemed the “younger generation” messed up. That would be your second insult upon the individuals who buy your albums. At this point, it would be fair to say you must have a disability of your own or be strung out on drugs. Why else would you insult, video and mock the very people responsible for your monetary livelihood?

At this point, it would be fair to say you must have a disability of your own or be strung out on drugs. Why else would you insult, video and mock the very people responsible for your monetary livelihood? However, unlike you, I don’t force such unmitigated opinions upon others. I am educated enough to know that in this world there are a significant number of individuals with debilitating disabilities that you know nothing about. Therefore, I will enlighten you.

The fact that the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport employees someone on the autism spectrum should be commended not mocked. Too many of these able-bodied individuals are discriminated against in the workforce. Businesses often fear their patrons will respond exactly as you did and therefore a person who could make a decent living is left with nothing except government assistance because he/she can’t find employment.

Thankfully personnel at the airport know what you do not, that individuals who are on the autism spectrum are not only employable but often make the best employees. They are committed, hard-working people who have more courage, strength, and stamina than you could possibly exhibit in a lifetime. And considering that you love to doctor your vernacular with f-bombs shows that you lack the exceedingly intelligent vocabulary those with Asperger’s Syndrome possess.

Your behavior was atrocious, despicable and you should do exactly what you are doing, fail to respond and hide your face in shame. Your behavior, rooted in ignorance and un-education, is something the “younger generation” doesn’t need exemplified.

So I am asking you do the world a favor and educate yourself. If you find that task impossible then please the next time you feel the need to point out ignorance find a mirror or turn the camera on yourself.

Brondes Have More Fun

I have this misguided notion that I can do things without the education that others invested in, simply because I am determined. I know, right? Been that way all my life. On the upside, my many missteps along the way add a bit of flavor to my life. And believe me, I could major in mistakes.  Hey, look at that.  I am educated!  Anyway……

I am obsessed with hair color. I change mine, A LOT! And by a lot, I mean that my mother-in-law once got pictures developed and in a single package, I had three different hair colors. THREE! Who does that?

I colored my hair just hours before my very first date with my husband. My BFF, Neen, had worked hard at setting me up with him so she did not appreciate finding me with purple hair less than an hour before the date. In my defense, I think I should mention that Neen has no sense of adventure. Okay, she has a little sense of adventure – controlled adventure. Me? I am all out there. Which is why at the end of her very serious reprimand I replied “Oh, whatever. There is no sense in trying to dress all  this up. This man needs to know what he’s getting into cause lets face it, I got crazy you just can’t hide.”

My latest obsession is bronde hair. For those who don’t know, bronde is hair that is really neither blonde or brown but somewhere in between. I am a color-my-hair-at-home kinda girl with equal parts bravado and insanity so I trolled the web searching for ways to do it. When I discovered all the websites that advised not to do it at home that only spurred me on. Besides, it is only hair. It will grow out. I did mentioned the insanity part of my nature, right?

Obviously, I was not going to be able to capture the full beauty of these bronde ladies with a box color from Wal-Mart.

A trip to my local Sally Beauty Store was required. My hair has natural red tones that are highly insulted when I try to color them. They rise up and turn my hair all sorts of unnatural colors- hence the purple hair. When you buy box hair color, you are given the hair color and the developing cream, which you must combine. When you go to a beauty supplier, you have to remember to buy both color and developer. I opted for Ion Intense Light Neutral Brown to mix with the standard level 20 developer. Because Sally’s is a beauty store that caters to the professionals, you have to buy the color and developer. This picture shows the Ion color box and the economy size developer. You can buy a bottle of 20 developer that is measured precisely for a single use. But we all know I can make good use of the mega size.

The result was a beautiful rich color that made me consider whether I should stop there. Then my Asperger kid, who has no clue what tact is, says, “So, did you mean to color your hair black?” So, then I thought perhaps I should carry on. On to the highlighting stage.

Knowing, it is never a good idea to try to make someone else’s hair appear on my head; I studied multiple pictures of bronde hair and selected the things I liked from each. Placing highlights can be tricky business, which is why I use highlighting systems that come with a cap that designates where highlights should be placed. Now, I was going to have to choose between being bronde or the safety of the cap. It took nearly a second for me to decide. Bronde hair here I come!

Bronde hair has two levels of lightening so I purchased two packets of lightening powder and two small developers in levels 10 and 30. Before mixing anything, I used my pictures as a guide and determined where I wanted the highlights placed. I used small, colored non-tangling hair bands to section my hair. I used green ones to indicate the placement of the level 10 highlights and orange ones for level 30. That made it possible for me to compare the pictures I liked to where the highlights would actually be on my head.

I know the pictures I am using are not the best but …well; I do not have an excuse. I just did not want to take the time to make sure I had perfect pictures. Do not judge me. I am VERY busy. You have no idea the amount of time and energy it takes to maintain my insanity.

2013-07-05 16.14.00-5

As you can see, I once again went with the Ion brand. Normally I would have used all the developers in the same brand but my local Sally Beauty Supply did not have all I needed so I had to mix and match.

I placed the lower level highlights, the powder mixed with 10 developer, first because the higher developer (30) would not need as much time to reach the desired result. However, I love very light blonde hair with significantly darker ends that was not my goal. I wanted darker roots that gradually faded into a lighter color but with an obvious color difference between roots and tips. The result was a bit darker than my goal but I was still pleased with it. And apparently, my results were subtle enough that it has been 2 weeks and my father-in-law has yet to notice. Oh, I know what you are thinking. He is a man, he will not notice. Uh, wrong. The man is geriatric and still notice more hair changes than any self-respecting gay man is. Anyway…….

I started with this hair color

I may not have the overwhelming beauty of the stars whose pictures I included but i can certainly tell you without a doubt that brondes really do have more fun.
